Not the computer kind, but the business kind! I’ve started doing a lot of this lately and am finding it such a great way of meeting contacts and clients. Which I know might sound obvious as that’s what these events are run for, but I just wanted to write about my own short experience of it. They are relaxed and quite social which was my first pleasant surprise and there is often a guest speaker who gives some really good advice. So I’ve been leaving these events with new advice, new contacts and new ideas! All for a small attendance fee. This is the other good thing about them; they are so cost effective compared to an expensive advert and, depending on your business; you may get more out of networking!
